Our future lives on research and development
Application-oriented research and technological leadership are essential for the survival and competitiveness of any company. The Research Association Baumaschinen und Baustoffanlagen e.V. is dedicated to this topic (FVB) very intensively. With more than 40 member companies and partner universities throughout Germany, the FVB has an extensive network in the research economy and science and thus promotes dialogue between them. One of our most important tasks is to acquire funds for joint research with the aim of supporting the innovation potential of our members. The FVB has been very successful in this field for over 40 years.
On the eve of bauma, five companies and one university received the bauma Innovation Award 2019 for the best technical innovation in their category. The prize was awarded for developments that point the way to the future, are economical, environmentally friendly, practicable and take particular account of people in their working environment.
What's the status quo of research and science? What topics have an influence on the industry? What's in the pipeline? Research live - 11th International Information Center for Universities and Institutes will provide insights here.
This prize is coveted. The award is highly valued, even beyond the sector. Products that receive the Innovation Prize are considered pioneering. Entries have therefore once again been submitted by companies, universities and research establishments across Europe and beyond.
At the last general meeting and advisory board meeting on 26.10.2017 in Düsseldorf, the board and advisory board elections of the Research Association for Construction and Building Material Machines (FVB) were scheduled.
After a two-year vacancy, the Endowed Professorship for Construction Machinery at the Institute for Fluid Power Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has been filled. Dr. Frank Will has accepted the appointment from the TU Dresden and will begin his work on December 1, 2017.
Companies that participate in the FVB enjoy a head start in knowledge, receive a free completion report of the projects, can further develop and apply the results within the company and transfer them to standardization.
How do we work in the FVB? The FVB Guide answers this question. The procedure for submitting and discussing new topic proposals and research proposals plays a central role. The guidelines provide for a two-stage process.
The FVB was founded in 1972 and is one of the 19 research committees of the FKM e.V. (Forschungskuratorium Maschinenbau). The aim of the FVB is to promote and support the innovation potential of its members. It has four organs which control its work:
